Meet my new foster girl... Hope!
Hope is a 2 year old Maine Coon, that I am fostering to help the rescue group I got both Lucky and Bugsy from. She came home with me yesterday; I think interesting times are coming our ways. She is a very sweet girl, but she is also shy, and will need some socialization work before she can be adopted out. She is not as skittish as Lucky once was, but I would say she is close.
She is also pretty underweight (only 7.2 lbs), so she will need some extra nutrition. I am feeding her Origen, and Wellness canned, in addition to a high calorie supplement. I hope she comes around soon!
Lucky is doing well with the addition, however Bugsy is having a very hard time with it. He is getting startled easily, and has been hissing at the world - including me. It is not really a mean hiss, it sounds like he is scared... I bought some Feliway and it's already plugged in the living room, and I am also doing a scent exchange with them all.
Well, if anybody is reading this.... Wish me good luck!!!

This week I started taking the kitties to enjoy the great outside world! We have a central garden here in the building; it is a nice space to take them under supervision... But, with the great outdoors came Lucky's begging, pleading, screaming tantrums! All she wants to do now is to go outside. She has become quite the escape artist as well, which worries me, as I am going to start traveling soon...

Even though Lucky is the one who wants to go outside the most, Bugsy is definitely the most adventurous of the two. He likes exploring, including getting into other people's houses! Too funny, yesterday he went straight into my neighbor's house, even though her two cats were in the living room... He is very friendly with other cats too - he walks right to them to say hello :). Usually he backs off with a sad face after the second or third hiss!

Lucky is funny. Her favorite thing to do outside is to lay on the sidewalk.... She is a princess, and as such, she doesn't like to get dirty on the grass! She also loves to hunt bees and mosquitoes.
Well, I need to sleep soon - it's 5am, and I do want to take them outside tomorrow....
Later!
