Kittywood - We are Actors! 06/26/2010
With all meowmy's travelling, she bought a new, better Camera, and we became overnight reality actors! Make sure to visit us from time to time - The camera is on most of the time! Here are some pictures that some of meowmy's friends from the Cat Site sent her during her last trip so she could see us from her cell phone - isn't that cool?! They were watching us from all over the place! Ops meowmy, I buried my dinner too soon - if I can just push the squirrel to the left a little bit... yes, right there, I can have one more bite, just one more bite! I don't know if you kitties hide your food, but sissy Hope loves my stinky goodness too much - gotta protect that dinner, you know?! P.S. I am doing all better! The day meowmy left, Uncle Jim and Kelly from my vet's office came here and gave me an injection of something called steroids, and another injection meowmy doesn't remember, and I got better after a few days... Kelly kept coming by and feeding me with her fingers to make sure I was eating everything, and I got lots of extra love, and when meowmy came back from her trip I was all fixed up! I am happy I don't have to take that bad shot again for at least another 3 years, and uncle Jim said there is a test meowmy can do on me when I am 5 years old to see if I have enough antibodies, and if I do, they can submit that do the city and I don't need to take the shot ever again in my life! Meowmy will sure do that! Thank you for your well wishes, we sure are glad to have meowmy back home too! Hello friends, meowmy here...I am going out of town today again, and this time my heart is really heavy and I am really concerned, as Bugsy is going through a very (VERY) bad reaction to his vaccine he took Saturday, and I HATE living him like this... Unfortunately this new vet did not have Purevax vaccines, and even though I requested two weeks in advance, they had a hard time getting it. So Bugsy got the 3-yr rabies and he is suffering... Last night he started limping, his appetite went way low, started hiding, crying with pain every time I tried to touch him, and his eyes were really red, so I think he is running a fever... He does eat when I bring food for him, and I am feeding him only wet food to keep him hydrated. He is also using the litterbox ok. I did call his vet tech, and will also request to update his file; because of this incident she will try to get the clinic to get purevax vaccines in the future - she also has a cat who reacts badly to it... My vet tech is also my pet sitter, so when I called her she graciously offered to come by tomorrow morning to pick him up to take him in to get checked out and medicated if he needs it; she will bring him back with her when she comes by to feed the other kitties at night - Thank GOD I have her so I don't go crazy thinking of how is he going to be without me... Lucky took the same shots and she is completely fine. For what I hear he should be fine soon... God I sure hope so! my poor baby boy :( By the way, the kitty cam is working non-stop now, especially when I travel so I can keep an eye on them and also not miss them too much. Remember: Big fat white cat (usually on red window sill on the right) = Bugsy Regular size/small white cat, usually on left window sill or up in the shelves or with Lucky = Hope Color point but looks brown on video = Lucky V-E-T Day oh boy! 06/13/2010
Hi, Bugsy here! Our rabies shot expired (Lucky's and mine), and meowmy is going out of town soon, so she decided to take us to the V-E-T... The reason? A nice lady is coming by to take care of us and give me my medicine, and meowmy is afraid of me biting her and being thrown into kitty jail! Silly thought! I kept reminding her that I am a laid back Ragdoll..... a raaaggddooolll, but apparently she didn't care much, she took us regardless. I couldn't believe it! Anyway, off to the V-E-T we went! We got our vaccines and exam by the nice lady vet. Then uncle Jim checked out my mouth to see how my Stomatitis is doing, and to see if I need another treatment or just the daily meds, and he also checked Sissy Lucky to see her improvement with the procedure she had. Uncle Jim said I am doing really well, and I do not need another treatment YEY!!! I just need to keep taking my meds every day, and I will be just fine! Meowmy and I are so happy! No anesthesia, no needles... No pain! My mouth is great! Sissy Lucky's mouth is also doing really well! I also lost almost one lb!!! Another good news! I went from 20lbs to 19.14lbs. The vet and Uncle Jim were very happy about that! Keep in mind folks, I am a Ragdoll, so I am very big, but I do have some junk in my trunk I need to lose :). Uncle Jim said he wants me to lose another 3lbs then go from there (I think he is out of his mind!)! Meowmy thinks I lost weight because I am eating more stinky goodness and less dry food - I love Hope's Stinky goodness so I just go for it! Meowmy says it is good for me anyways because of the moisture and all... Thanks goodness meowmy got a job, that stinky goodness is expeeeeensive! After the consult both Lucky and I got our butts shaved! Sissy Lucky pooped herself so stressed she was… poor baby so embarrassing! I got mine shaved because I have a furry bum, IBD, and a big belly – those three things do not go together folks! So everything was good at the V-E-T… The only thing meowmy didn’t like was that they didn’t have purevax vaccines, and she tried really hard to get them to get it… She will make sure to do that next year, although we did get the 3yr rabies vaccine, so at least we don’t need to worry about that for a long while now! So folks, it’s all good on our neighborhood here! Happy Sunday! | Our cat blogTranslate this page
