I am telling you guys - Firs thing in the morning he already asked meowmy to check the votes - even before his tuna breakfast! I SAID BEFORE HIS TUNA! So Sad... How did he became so vain... 
I mean, he is handsome and all, but maybe we girrrls need to remind him that he is neutered... Yeah - I think we do need to have this conversation with him pretty soon.

Hi there!!!!
Wow! It's been a while since meowmy posted - she has been busy working on the site, translating the product reviews from cat language for you guys.... It might look easy but meowmy says't it is a lot of work!!!
Things here are well... Meowmy put Bugsy on a diet and exercise plan, more details tomorrow when meowmy has more time, ok? We are stopping by just to say hello and to say we are alive and well, and that we will be back soon with all the news and exciting stuff!

Lucky, Bugsy and Hope

This is for our Brazilian kitty-fellas, but you American kitties can enjoy it too! We love it!! Meowmy has always loved it, since she was a child... It is by her favorite musician, this cute guy in the video, called Chico Buarque - Enjoy!

It looks like FINALLY summer is over in Dallas - about time! The one problem with that.... Rain... Non stop rain... It wouldn't be a problem really, except that it makes meowmy extremely lazy - and we mean L-A-Z-Y! Thank goodness there are the three of us to share cuddles with, because let me tell ya - it would be too much for the regular kitty! 
It's kind of fun for us actually - Kitty TV has been especially nice these days, lots of little creatures cruising around in front of us - I guess they all like the rain too... silly creatures they are - like to get wet, hehe. 
Meowmy has also been very nostalgic... She has been telling us about some kitties in her past, so we gave her the idea to put it all here in the blog, and here we are!
This picture is circa 1980... Meowmy was only 6 years old.... She feels so sad, because she was so close to this kitty, yet she doesn't remember his name... She also remembers that her brother was kind of mean to him - you know, things that little boys sometimes do to kitties? Meowmy feels guilty about that... 
When meowmy and her family moved from one city to another, her parents left her kitty and her doggy behind with the nice couple who bought the house - but these were people who we knew for many many years, and kitty and doggy Suzy were well taken care off until they went to the bridge (RIP)... 
Many others paved the way to Lucky Bugsy and Hope... There was Charles, meowmy's sweet apple faced siamese, who was soooo gentle and sweet.... 

There was also Yoseph Micael, the crazy vegetarian by choice cat, who had a HELL of a purrsonality.... oh boy, that was an interesting one! Yoseph Micael, or Jose Miguel was found by meowmy's  sister in a little water puddle in a Yatch Club, and she took it home... Poor thing was probably a few days old... He was weird from day one. He never liked meat, or cat food - all he liked was vegetables - would go nuts over potatoes, carrots, collard greens, beets, and whatever vegetables and legumes meowmy cooked for him. She tried everything.... he didn't like it... He was super fit and healthy, and completely nuts! Here he is napping with meowmy - this was circa 1991. Wasn't he sweet?

Awwwww Sweeeeet Sebastiao....... Sebastiao was meowmy's first "heart kitty"... He slept with meowmy every day, and only left her side when she got up.... Sometimes meowmy would sleep very late.... all the way till 2pm or so on the weekends.... and Sebastiao would be there, waiting until she got up! 
Every day when she left to University, he would lay by the door and wait... Upon her return she would open the door and there he was, ready for a belly rub... He was just the sweetest thing in the whole world!!!
Meowmy often says that he was the hardest thing to leave behind when she moved to the US, because she could tell her humans how much she loved them, but she was afraid Seb would never understand her... How could Seb understand why she wouldn't come back through the door the next day? Would he be waiting there forever? Would he be sad? Would he feel abandoned? Betrayed?
Meowmy gave Seb to her dad's ex girlfriend, who loved him very much, and now he is living in Paris! He should be around 15 years old now...
Seb my darling.... no matter where you are, meowmy still loves you very much, and will never, ever ever forget you!

Lucky, Bugsy and Hope

So, these were some of my kitties while I was growing up... Some of them were family pets, and some of them were mine, like Seb, Yoseph... All of them were dearly loved and are greatly missed and appreciated.... I am so sorry if I failed you one day... As a child I didn't know any better, but you taught me much, and for that I will be always grateful... For my little Orange Tabby - RIP... I loved you ~ Meowmy

That is right! Hope has been here for the last four months as a foster kitty. She has a sad sad, but all too common story........
She was picked up as a pregnant stray, had an abortion spay, was taken to the shelter, labeled unadoptable as a semi-feral, pulled from the brink of death by a rescue...
In spite of all her new found safeness, cleanliness, food, shelter and care,  she was miserable at the rescue place - as a semi feral little kitty, it was just too much for her; she needed peace and quiet.  Hope barely made to the food bowl... She lost a lot of weight... She was ALWAYS under the couch... Poor little thing...
She was at the same rescue I got both Lucky and Bugsy from. I offered to help fostering a problem kitty, but I never thought I was going to fall in love this quickly!
Hope has flourished tremendously since she first got here! She was afraid of everything and everybody - very very skittish little kitten... She still has some semi-feral traits, but is very social, has bonded incredibly well with Lucky, is playful, funny, mischievous... All and all, she is just SO HAPPY in here! She still runs away from me, but I grab her and cover her with kisses anyways!

We are all so very happy to finally take out the "f" word (as in foster) when we talk about Hope... We are so happy to know that she will be with us forever and ever and ever!!!!

All that nom nom nom we do all day long... No, not the food nom nom nom... But the grooming and the loving nom nom nom... Since you are probably a human, let me show you what I am talking about it, so that we are on the same page:

As you can see, that is love nom nom nom... We also have the grooming/detangling nom nom nom, which is similar, but we do it on ourselves. We also nom nom nom to regulate our body temperature, since we don't have sweat glands... You get the picture - we do a LOT of nom nom nom... on the top of all that nomming nomming nomming, we nom our humans..... which brings me to.........................
We know our nomming is better than any spa exfoliating facial, besides the fact that it is free and readily available, but do you know why? Have you ever observed the perfection of the "feline grooming tool of the trade"? Well let me show you:

Isn't that the coolest and the wildest thing you have ever seen in your whole life? NO - don't you go having some weird idea of opening a "by kitteh Spa" - we are way too busy meditating about the problems of the world to be exfoliating the faces of your rich friends instead.
The point I wanted to make with those cool pictures is, as you can imagine, a lot of hair/fur get stuck on those hooks, and there is only one way to get rid of it: swallowing it..... So, do you see where I am getting with this? no? ok.... let me illustrate for you with the help of my friends at ICHC:

That's right H-A-I-R-B-A-L-L-S!!!
Think it's gross? You are lucky it is not you who has these stuck on you throat! So, from a kitty to a human (again, I am assuming you are a human, if not please kindly relay the message for you human, since he/she needs to drive to the pet shop), please groom your kitty often. Short or long hair, we shed; and I tell you - it is not fun to hack that stuff out... And If you ever step in one, I am pretty sure you won't like it either (even though you deserve it; if you groom us more often, that wouldn't happen...). Besides... we love being groomed... Noooooo that's no what we mean -you DON'T need to do it like we do duh! Your tools of the trades are different! You should have a good metal comb, and we here highly recommend the Furminator.... Now, don't you go nuts with it - research your kittie's breed for the best plan of action, and be consistent.... Meowmy Grooms us a few times a week, and uses the furminator once a week... When she sees we are starting to cough, she gives us this thing called butter. Happy grooming! Puuurrrssss and meooowwss.....
Bugsy, Hope and Lucky

We know that by now you all must be very curious a of how we spend our days at meowmy's house...
Well while you probably think we sleep most of the time, we are actually meditating... there is much to think... much to ponder about serious problems around this big world of ours.
Much to ponder.... I think that might be the reason for the increase of our hairball problems... That's it! Bingo!
Anyways, we gave meowmy the idea to post some pictures illustrating our typical day... So, here is how we pro do it (during our meditation breaks, of course):

While meowmy is cooking Hope's and Bugsy's breakfast, we run around the house - we love this fancy condo she build just for us!!! Yes, it is kinda ugly, we didn't tell her to not hurt her feelings....... but man, I mean.... you are NOT a kitty if you don't like boxes!

After we eat we like watching the neighbors on the windows - then we gossip everything we saw to meowmy.... she loooooves hearing about it!

Then..... If one of us, and meowmy are inspired, we can also do a photo shoot - today the model was Hope... She is SO BEAUTIFUL! Great Model! Check these pictures out:
 

Often times Lucky is the director of the photo shoot- she watches from the kitty wall; and if she thinks meowmy is giving too much attention to either Hope or Bugsy, than party over!
