That is right! Hope has been here for the last four months as a foster kitty. She has a sad sad, but all too common story........ She was picked up as a pregnant stray, had an abortion spay, was taken to the shelter, labeled unadoptable as a semi-feral, pulled from the brink of death by a rescue... In spite of all her new found safeness, cleanliness, food, shelter and care, she was miserable at the rescue place - as a semi feral little kitty, it was just too much for her; she needed peace and quiet. Hope barely made to the food bowl... She lost a lot of weight... She was ALWAYS under the couch... Poor little thing... She was at the same rescue I got both Lucky and Bugsy from. I offered to help fostering a problem kitty, but I never thought I was going to fall in love this quickly! Hope has flourished tremendously since she first got here! She was afraid of everything and everybody - very very skittish little kitten... She still has some semi-feral traits, but is very social, has bonded incredibly well with Lucky, is playful, funny, mischievous... All and all, she is just SO HAPPY in here! She still runs away from me, but I grab her and cover her with kisses anyways! Here is Lucky before, when she first got here: and here she is now!! We are all so very happy to finally take out the "f" word (as in foster) when we talk about Hope... We are so happy to know that she will be with us forever and ever and ever!!!! Thank you for reading and sharing with us a little of our happiness on this special day! |
