Floofy Friday - Bugsy on Catnip Puuuurrrrs for Meowmy 10/23/2009

This title should have a subtitle - "meowmy should have some"!
Meowmy has been down for a few days - I think humans call it depressed... You see, meowmy has been out of a job for a while now, and I heard her say on the phone that she is feeling "hopeless"... We kitties sit around wating for her allllllll ddaaaaaayyyyy loooonggggg to play with us while she applies for job after job after job... and nothing...
It's been hard on meowmy... We have been puurrring extra hard, and trying to be extra mischievous to try to get her to have some fun... We do manage to make her laugh from time to time - especially Hope - she is good at it, but not enough....
Bugsy today even demonstrated the wonderful world of catnip, and hinted her to try some, by turning his face away, when she asked: "can I have some?" (video below) Nope - not even that - not even catnip she wants to enjoy.... Awww meowmy! What can we do???
It must be hard out there... Because meowmy has a degree, tons of experience.... If it's hard for her.... wow, I imagine there must be many other kitty meowmies in the same situation... so sad...
Awww..... Can the three of us kitties kindly ask for some puuurrrrsss and vibes meowmy's way? And also to all of the other kitty families who are in the same situation.... Watching meowmy today made us really think that things must not be good out there...
Please puuurrr to all the kitty families in need ~

We are sending purrs that something comes up soon. Our Mom got pushed into retirement and many of her friends got laid off in January. Many are still out of work but a few are just getting jobs, 8 to 9 months later. Mom is afraid she will have to find a job next year but she does not have a degree asn thinks it will be very hard.

Hi, thanks for visiting our bloggie.

We are going to purr long and hard for your Mom becos not having a job is hard. Mom said to tell yoo that yoo are beautiful and intelligent and so sooner or later if yoo keep sending in those applications ~ yoo will get a job.

Mom is in the same boat. She is also a graduate loking for a job. She is currently recovering from surgery (a bone graft to her leg) as part of having had primary bone cancer ~ and her employer of 5 years behaved so badly while mom was ill, that mom didn't feel she could work for her anymore. She is now taking legal action againsy her x-employer for discrimination under the Disability Discrimination Act. It's been very depressing so mom understands yoor mom's predicament.

Let's hope both yoor mom and our mom gets jobs soon. Trubble is our mom can't walk yet (she using crutches and a wheelchair)~ she's got to be patient while her poorly leg heals. She's still applying for jobs though ... in the hope something will turn up.
