Lucky here! - See my face? How do I look? Yep - NOT HAPPY. The day started normal..... or so I thought..... It was a bit odd momma woke up so early..... Oh was I naive!
Furriends, learn from me - hoomans wake up too early and do everything in a hurry in the morning.... RUN and HIDE!
I tried... I tried hiding under the bed, but momma tricked me, stuck me into that blue box and then into that bigger moving box..... and all of the sudden there I was - at the V-E-T.
At least I gave him a gift - yeah.... you don't play with me like that without consequences..... I gave a sample of my best, freshest, stinkiest poop! (Highly recommend this too furriends!)
Anyways, he poked me in places I can't dare to say it here.... You never know if there are minors reading this..... He stole my blood and took pictures of my insides.
The V-E-T is testing me for a bunch of stuff..... He also gave momma some pills that make me really hungry and make me talk like an auctioneer. Momma starts getting the results tomorrow, but some that were sent out in the big bird will only come out in the end of the week.
Right now I am so hungry I don't even care about what is in my plate - I just want to eat, eat and eat! Momma is loving it!
Ok - momma want's to write a note, so I will pass the compooter to her before she throws a fit.
Thanks for the vibes and good wishes furriends!
Hi Friends Momma here - Until this morning, Lucky had been eating on her own for almost two days - however, she still didn't have an appetite. It took A LOT of work to feed her, a LOT of toppers, bribery.... I have been literally rolling every little piece of meat, one by one in her favorite treat - crumbled freeze dried chicken breast - she would lick it off, spit the meat, and I would do it again until she ate it all. Lucky is normally a kitty who is begging for meat at the counter as I am preparing the meals - so this is not a normal behavior AT ALL.
We had a very comprehensive vet visit today. She had a Senior panel done, in addition we are testing her for Pancreatitis (was sent to Texas A&M), Cobalamine and Folate and a full set of X-Rays which were sent to a specialist radiologist.
The CBC/Senior Panel results will be back tomorrow. The pancreatitis test will be back either Friday or Monday. His vet went over the X-Ray with me, and he said as far as HE can see, everything looks normal - no masses, nothing wrong with any organs, no blockages, no gas patterns indicating hairballs. The final results I will only know tomorrow, from the Radiologists, but I already feel a little better.
She doesn't have a fever, she didn't lose weight, she is well hydrated, her gums are pink, her ears and eyes are not showing any signs of jaundice.
We came home with Cyproheptadine, which makes her really hungry, and really LOUD - but seeing her eating with gusto again fills my heart <3 <3 <3
I will give her the full dose today, and see how she does with half dose from tomorrow on.
Aside from her appetite, Lucky is completely fine - she doesn't show any signs of being sick or in pain - she is playing, eating, talking (A LOT), and being the same Lucky I always loved so much.
Thank you for all the vibes and good wishes - hopefully this won't be anything serious.....
Momma
