Meet Gracie!
Gracie was our latest addition, and a very special one! We were not expecting Gracie to join our family, and she has been a friend of ours for quite some time...
Gracie was an iside/outside cat who belonged to a dear neighbor of ours, who for healthy reasons was no longer able to take care of her. We noticed that she was staying only outside and doing very poorly, loosing weight rapidly so we decided to take action. In talking to the vet, we found out she had been off her thyroid medication for the last six months, which was probably the reason for her health deterioration... Her owners took her to the vet to assess her situation and transfer her ownership to me and we took her in on November 1st!
Gracie came in covered in fleas, matts, very skinny, her health was poor, her breathing was heavy, and she was very skittish and aggressive, even towards me! She is slowly turning around though - her health has improved tremendously already, she has gained weight and her breathing is perfect, her fur is shiny and she no longer has fleas or mats and she is the sweetes cat ever.... at least with me! She does not like the other cats yet, so she is in a separate part of the house, contained by a baby gate... But that is ok... With time we will figure something out for this beautiful princess!
Favorite Food & Treats:
Gracie is a pigglet! She will eat whatever you put in front of her! Her current dry food is Royal Canin Hypoallergenic HP 23, and she eats wet food at least 2-3 times a day, in different flavors. Her favorite treats are Purina Whiker Lickin's, which I use to give her thyroid meds, and Temptation treats!
Favorite Toys:
Most definitely the laser pointer! Then the turboscratcher, but just for scratching, even though she is declawed... She hasn't figured out the ball part of it yet :)
