Hello and Welcome to our website!
My name is Carolina, I am from Brazil, and for the last 13 years I have been living in the US. I guess you can say I am a first generation Brazilian-American!
I moved to Los Angeles in 1996 for what I thought it would be a few months traveling and learning English....... Thirteen years later... still here, still traveling and most definitely still learning! I now live in Dallas, Texas, to where I relocated for my job in 2007. Even though Dallas is much different from Los Angeles, I love it here, and I have the feeling I will stay for a while. I became an American Citizen in 2008 so I could vote on the presidential elections - I am happy to say WE WON! It was all very worth it!
Although I am the only one from my immediate family in the US, thanks to technology, we are never too far. I have a twin sister called Djamilia, an older brother called Roberto, mom (Lucia), dad (Roberto), and a LONG extensive family, which includes my beloved Grandmother (96), Grandfather (95), my nephew Gabriel, niece Maria, and many MANY uncles, auties and cousins. I love all of them dearly, and I am very lucky to have the most amazing family in the World!
I am also very lucky to have wonderful friends both in here, and in Brazil. I guess because I am alone in here, or maybe just my personality, but my friends are my family - the only difference is that I chose them to be part of it.
Before this gets too long and boring, let me explain the title of this page: I am a little "crazy", I love cats, and I am also a lady - what makes me one "Crazy Cat Lady"!
Lucky is my lovely "first kitty", Bugsy her sweet adopted brother, and Hope the latest addition. They are my furry kids, and yes, spoiled rotten as they deserve to be :-). Be sure to visit their pages and our blog!
