Merlin's Hope A Ragdoll and Maine Coon Rescue (MHCR) This is where I adopted Lucky, Bugsy and Hope from. It is truly a great place... Not fancy, but full of love and care. Merlin's Hope is named after a beloved 16-year old Birman, Merlin, who was dumped at a humane society because his owners didn't want to pay for the medical care he needed. MHCR is a private rescue and privately funded. They rescue Ragdolls, Maine Coons, and other long-haired breeds. They gladly accept donations, but are much more interested in finding quality foster homes to open spaces for the many cats that are currently on their wait list.
Pets Best Pet Insurance - This is the Insurance I have for both Lucky and Bugsy; if Hope becomes a permanent member of the household, she will be included in my policy of course! I Shopped around A LOT for insurance, and Pets Best appeared to be the best cost/benefits out there. I have used it twice, and had no problems at all. The claim form is very straight forward, you can choose your doctors, there is not annual limits, and they can reimburse your vet directly, if your vet accepts this payment plan. I HIGHLY recommend them - it has been a huge peace of mind having insurance, and knowing that no matter what, I will always be able to afford vet care for my babies.
Pet Cat Care Blog - An interesting blog with information on how to properly care for your pet cat. They have a range of information from how to minimize cat shedding to a grain free diet.
